Carlsson Mercedes GLA
CARLSSON MAKES ATTRACTIVE THE INSIPID GLA
Unless you opt for the AMG Edition 1, with that big spoiler and racing livery, the look of the GLA, will always be a bit ‘too shy and lacking in personality. Fortunately, there are tuners like Carlsson, who put his hands on the crossover of the three-pointed star, managing to make it not only more peculiar, but eventually enjoyable. We try to figure out how. There’s a new bumper, both front and rear, the last one incorporates the four tailpipes of the exhaust. The alloy wheels range spreads from 18” to 21”, while sills, chrome mirrors and roof bars, round off the overall package. As for the engines, each version gains a handful of horses, with the GLA 200 reaching 187 horsepower, while the GLA 250 even 253 horses. The interior, for which there are still no official photos, is upgraded too, while maintaining the elegant pattern of leather and stitching so dear to Carlsson itself.
