Chasing Our American Dream – Pt.2
Finding myself virtually overnight so far from home, without an internet connection, with a weather that seemed anything but the typical Californian one I used to see on TV, it shocked me a little, just like searching for the best ways heading for Sin City Las Vegas. But we must admit that getting lost in the suburbs of LA it was not that bad, at least if we mean the fabulous residential areas that would dwarf the most snob Costa Smeralda. And then the red Huracan, our traveling companion for this first stage, was impeccable. I admit I was dubious when I first met it and also after the track test of last year in France. After digesting the doors that open like any city car, being carried away by the powerful V10 it has been spot-on, as the fact of not gambling too much, once arrived in the most sinful cities in the world. We usually talk about cars, so I won’t bore you with tales of dice, cards, tits and lights in the night, but I want to focus instead on the “Coast to coast” trip that Max and I have planned for the coming months. Each stage will bring us, at last, in a magical and typically American place. Each stage will be faced with a different car and for this we thank all those who make our “Getaway” possible. In 6 days, after the little taste in Las Vegas, we will leave from the beautiful beaches of Santa Monica. Follow us, hoping that nobody busts us because of US’ strict speed limits.
