Get Ready For Winter … With The Evoque Convertible
Despite the warm sun of these last few days, we are sure that most of you have already largely organized the incoming winter holidays, made of ski, high altitude tanning and lots of snow. Obviously neither the cold nor the ice will stop you if you are driving an Evoque, but Land Rover has decided to bring back to the summit of motorists’ preference around the globe the small but glamorous off-roader with a nothing short of brilliant news: ladies and gentlemen, here you have the Evoque Convertible.
This is the first proper SUV convertible with a soft top fully foldable and able to transform a spacious and stylish off-roader, in an equally comfortable and quirky topless car for the family. 18 seconds to lower the roof, 21 for raising and just 90 milliseconds needed to throw a double aluminium roll bar for safety, in case you decide to argue with the laws of physics. It will debut in a few days at the Los Angeles auto show and will be available with two doors, offering different engines, including the powerful 2.0cc turbo that outputs 240 hp. The 9-speed automatic transmission will be standard on all versions, while you’ll have to make sure you tick the “AWD” option for not knowing any obstacles. The cabin, luxurious and comfortable for both driver and passengers is the same as the restyling model with the metal roof, but once you have your hair in the wind, you’ll be the coolest guy in town. No doubt about that.
