Glickenhaus strikes back
SCG003
One of the most admired supercar of the incoming Geneva Motor Show will be the SCG003: code that identifies the new creature wanted by the famous American collector and car manufacturer James Glickenhaus (already dad of the famous P4/5) and in which SCG stands for Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus and 003 indicates the third one-off created. Like the P4/5, even the newest SCG003 is available in two versions: the “C” (Competition) for FIA races and the “S” (Street) for normal road use. The SCG003 is a supercar designed from a blank sheet and in which each component has been studied as a function for performance, which is why there has not been any stylistic concession, certain details or references to the past as in the case of the P4/5. Here you witness an extremely aerodynamic car body studied on the specific LMP1 and LMP2 competition prototype, a cockpit sculpted by the wind, an essential mid-located body, four profiles to cover the wheels, a triumph of spoiler necessary to ensure the greatest possible downforce and, in the case of the road version, very few concessions to comfort and mandatory approvals. The SCG0003 has a body made of carbon fiber, the right material to ensure rigidity and light weight, which allows it to weight about 1.350 kg. The heart of the newborn is a Honda engine source, a 3.5-liter V6 twin turbo able to achieve 530 hp. Currently it is not yet known how much it will cost and how many units will be produced. Stay tuned for more.
