New Audi S5: Will It Be Angry Enough?
It has been long awaited, just as it did when the very first A5 was originally presented, but after 8 years, the new A5 is ready to be your new reference coupe. Aside from the excellent (but boring) classic engines, the letter that awakens in us greater interest is the “S” which should, at least on paper, make the new S5 more special than usual, now equipped with the mechanical and technological upgrades also present on the standard sisters. We talk then of minor protrusions, a lighter chassis, more room for passengers and further improved drag coefficient, to the benefit of performance and consumption.
The new engine is a V6 twin-turbo 354hp (+21 compared to the model it replaces) and should assure a 0-100 in about 4.7 seconds, with top speed fixed to the canons 250 per hour. The interior has taken a leap forward with the new display already seen on the new TT and the classic styles of the latest generation Audis. If you too are happily distorted as three-quarters of our staff at the office, however, you are already rubbing your hands for the new RS5, which will follow soon, bringing more power and more involvement in the game.
