No More SLK: We’ve Got The SLC
Do not be fooled by the name, since the “new” SLC, is nothing but the restyling of the SLK, the two-seat roadster from Mercedes, designed for those looking for a stylish look mated with respectable performance (if you choose the right engine) and costs less than the bigger SL. The recipe remains unchanged and the SLC comes with a new front grille, new LED front headlights, a new rear bumper and a revised dual exhaust. Inside we find a sportier steering wheel and an updated console with aluminum inserts and a latest generation infotainment system; the same goes for the opening system of the folding metal roof, it can be actuated in motion, up to 40 per hour. The SLC43 AMG, the one that really matters for us, has a twin-turbo 3.0 V6 with 362 horsepower and 520Nm of torque, obviously giving power to the rear wheels. Remarkable performance, as mentioned before, with a 0-100 in about 4.7 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 250 per hour.
