The GLS63 AMG Is The Meeting Point Between a Brick Wall and Lots of Horsepower
It replaces 100% the previous GL version of the voluminous and luxurious SUV, fully embodying the finest in luxury and technology of the new S-Class sedan, from which precisely captures the fateful “S” letter. The flagship Mercedes Benz SUV will also be available with the AMG power plant, and more precisely with this GLS63, which will be officially unveiled on December, only to be distributed around the beginning of March 2016. The possibility to choose and find your own Mercedes-branded SUV are almost endless, with a range of models that vary between the smaller and the more generous ones, but this GLS has something that makes it a step above, catapulting it to a higher status level than the GLE. It can accommodate 7 people plus their luggage and destroy their guts by reaching 250 per hour (limited speed) thanks to its twin-turbo V8 that provides 577 horsepower. All of this, mated to the gorgeous 9-speed automatic transmission, can drive you in total relax, ideal for those long trips that will take you on a holiday full of excursions. Of course you can’t forget that the true nature of the GLS, like the GL before it, will not be found on pure off-road trails, despite a good ground clearance: in fact, the large alloy wheels, tires with low shoulder and chrome details all around, prefer to be driven on the asphalt rather than dealing with stones and treacherous terrains.
