Do you know those days that underline their name on the calendar? Those mornings in which the alarm clock sounds a bit different than usual, a sweet call, like a mother delicately waking her baby in a cold winter morning. The colors outside are less vivid, trees start getting naked and roads don’t know traffic, everything is too inviting not to drink a hot coffee with the constant look out of the window, watching the F-Type 400 Sport still with some overnight frost on its body.
After a few minutes, the morning silence leaves room to the roar of two felines who are ready to go hunting for a proper road and the new F-Type 400 Sport is flanked by the E-Type, which with its black dress accentuates the curves with the serious intention of bringing out the heir, showing the world and giving her the ultimate blessing. After all, this is a hard legacy to earn, but the voluptuous lines of the F-Type, made even more sensual by the spec of this limited edition, know how to answer firmly to the expectations of this “Diabolikal” fifty years old lady. The road is ours, and following an E-Type along an empty hilly autumn road, seems like we are catapulting ourselves into the most classic of the British weathers, home of these two jaguars. In a moment the road ahead widens and big cats bring out their paws, with the 3.8 of the E-Type that fills the air and my eardrums, while the precision and the modernity of the F-Type give demonstration of how much time has actually passed between these two, setting aside for a moment to be one of the best today’s grand tourer and focusing on being the worthy heir to the most beautiful car ever made.
