5 women at the wheel…
…THAT ACTUALLY DRIVE BETTER THAN ALL OF US!
Boys like to be territorial. Sofa, Tv, the razor (thankfully) and, above all, the car. Furthermore, the usual cliché that sees “Cars & girls” as a good fusion only with the engine off, helps to make us feel the kings of steering wheel and pedals.
However, there are women (and these are only five of them) that will make you break down the conviction of being the best driver in town. You would never dare to challenge them in a car race, you could have more hope behind the stoves. And this is not even sure …
Danica Patrick: professional driver, model and American showgirl, she is the only woman to have won a race in the IndyCar Series and the one which has gained the best finishing position (3rd place) in the Indianapolis 500.
Lyn St. James: the first woman to win the “Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year”, two victories at the 24h of Daytona and first place at the 12h of Sebring.
Maryeve Dufault: at only 33 years old she has already raced in Formula BMW, Formula Renault, Star Mazda, ARCA Racing and Nascar series. Besides being tremendously fast, she’s extremely beautiful. Do you agree?
Michèle Mouton: this seemingly quiet lady, would be able to drive faster than us, even with a supermarket cart. In 1981, at the Sanremo Rally, became the first woman to win an official stage of the World Rally Championship. In ’82 she won three races and lost the World Title for a car failure. In 1984 and 1985 she won the Pikes Peak Hillclimb. In 1986 she won the German rally championship, in addition to an avalanche of good placings and other results …
Sabine Schmitz: she won the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 1996 and 1997, but she is so famous for being the Queen of the Nordschleife, being born and raised inside the same circuit. The faster human of the ‘Ring, is a woman.
