The 124 Spider is back and the Abarth version, the one that interests us, is so important for two reasons. The first is the one that marks the return of Abarth in motorsport, with an official car that has been also presented at the Geneva Motor Show, right next to the road version, which despite a challenging price, around € 40,000, will offer to all enthusiasts of one of the most iconic spider of the “Bel Paese”, the opportunity to drive with the roof down, hair in the wind and hearing the roar of the Record Monza sports exhaust, which gives voice to the 1.4cc MultiAir Turbo engine able to output 170 hp. Based on the already proven Mazda MX-5, Abarth promises more incisiveness and even more involvement, counting on an excellent weight balance and also in this case on the rear-wheel drive layout. There will be the opportunity to equip your new Abarth with the manual 6-speed gearbox or the new “Sequenziale Sportivo”, while the 250Nm of torque results in a sprint of 6.8 seconds for passing from 0 to 100 and a top speed of 230 per hour. It has definitely caught our attention.
