Aeroslave: The McLaren Senna Is A 789-HP Road Legal Prowler
The definitive name of the P15 has only been revealed at last, in honor of the legendary Brazilian champion, true icon for Woking F1 team. The Senna is the most extreme road legal McLaren ever produced and settles in the Ultimate Series as the model with a more powerful internal combustion engine, thanks to its 4-liter turbocharged V8 boasting 789 horsepower and 800Nm of torque. In addition to the astronomical numbers there is an aerodynamics brought beyond any limit seen so far on a road car, result of a design mainly devoted to functionality and expressed on a car body of just 1.194kg (even less than the McLaren F1).
Definitely more angular and with only a distant memory to the lines that the English brand has accustomed us with its other models, the Senna has an unspecified quantity of aerodynamic carbon fiber appendages, among which we have to underline the wide front splitter, the rear diffuser and the huge spoiler that overhangs the triple exhaust located in the middle of the tail. Looking at its side it is impossible not to be captured by those unusual lines culminating in the doors equipped with glass panels. The interior reflects the aggressiveness of the exterior, with a minimalist cockpit entirely focused for track use, well aware that if you are lucky enough to be among the 500 future owners of the Senna, you can also drive it on the home to office road. Deliveries will start from the third quarter of 2018 and the price for this aerodynamic conquest is set at € 945,500.
