Alpine A110S: Curves Hunter Now Gets A 40-HP Upgrade
The “standard” A110 already is an extraordinary sports car, dusting off the myth of that rally icon and adapting it to an almost complete drivability, while maintaining that lightweight feeling that differentiates a random sports car from one that excites you in a visceral way, curve after curve. Now, with the freshly introduced A110S things get even more interesting, because this version comes with 40 more horses – for a total of 292 – and a maximum torque of 320 Nm, available from 2,000 to 6,400 rpm. The weight is always reduced to the bone (1,114 kg), as is the electronic limited-slip differential, with upgrades that not only concern its power, but also the suspension with now 50% more rigid dampers.
Improved performance with a 0-100 kph in 4.4 seconds and a more aggressive look thanks to 320 mm rear brake discs with orange calipers, carbon fiber and orange flag badges, as well as for the roof, which reduces the weight of 1.9 kg. Prices starting from € 68,200 and orders already in progress, with deliveries scheduled for 2020.
