Aston Martin DB12 | News
It’s called DB12 and is the heir to the extraordinary DB11. The grand tourer forms are kept unchanged, however the updates brought by the new model from Gaydon are countless, underlined by a good 80% of new components, not to mention a brand new cockpit, where we find a multimedia system developed by the brand itself, noble materials totally customizable, two 10-inch screens and a myriad of physical buttons that break the trend of having everything within reach of a display.
But what captures the most is the overall design where the DB12 leaves nothing to chance, with a giant front grille that seems to devour the road, a streamlined and muscular line that runs along the sides, showing the utmost care for the smallest details, such as air vents, headlights shapes and a very high beltline, all to the advantage of an even sportier look than the model it replaces.
As for the engines, for the moment we have only a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 (this remains of AMG derivation), which goes from 510 horsepower to a mighty 680, with 800 Nm of torque which unload the inexhaustible power on the rear wheel drive through an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Performance in the order of 3.6 seconds for 0-100 kph and a top speed of 325 per hour. It should be noted that despite the dimensions and a mechanical compartment of this type, the total weight stops at around 1,685 kg, thus promising an even purer driving involvement than one might expect by looking at it from the outside. The price to sit in the driver’s seat will be at around €250,000, with deliveries expected towards the end of the summer.
