Unveiled at this year’s Monterey Car Week, the DBR22 is the ultimate barchetta according to Aston Martin. At the moment it is only a concept design, but it is not difficult to imagine that it is about to anticipate an extremely limited production aimed at those refined customers who identify themselves in an essential relationship between the future of the brand and the glorious competitive past represented for example by the DBR1 and DB3S.
The DBR22 also celebrates the first 10 years of the Q Division by Aston Martin, the atelier that takes care to satisfy the most peculiar requests of its customers and which has given life to models such as the Victor, the Vulcan and the Vantage V600, not only creatures of refined aesthetic beauty, but authentic works of art on wheels perfectly capable of whizzing fast on the road and on the track. In the case of the DBR22 we find a full carbon fiber body and a powerful 715 horsepower twin-turbo V12. It is easy to imagine performance of 3 and a half seconds on the 0-100 kph and a top speed of 319 per hour.
