Aston Martin Vantage: Dynasty’s Safe
It had been announced, but we would never have expected such a masterpiece. The new Vantage marks a clear step forward for Aston Martin, which with the “baby” model continues its design path introduced with the DB11 sister. Courage and confidence in making an important contribution to the world, mirrored by one of the two colors used for the official presentation, the new Vantage replaces the previous model, which between a facelift and another was around from 2005. And it does that with the stunning DB10 styles (the one driven by the world’s most famous secret agent) with a sleek look and lines that seem getting out of our hottest fantasies. The front end is even more pronounced than before, while the cut tail houses the rear lights that cross the entire width of the back.
Underneath the bonnet, a twin-turbo 4-liter V8 powering 510hp and 685Nm of torque, which ground their violence on the rear axle thanks to a 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. Maximum speed of more than 310 per hour and a 0-100 of about 3 and a half seconds – the new Vantage is also the first Aston Martin to offer an electronic limited-slip diff for the benefit of a deep and visceral driving experience like the one that will live your pupils the very moment you will be lucky to have one in front of you. A provocative design that does not know half terms and which rightly grants deserved glory to the little son from Gaydon. For us it deserves a standing ovation, one that lasts hours and hours.
