THE MOST POWERFUL R8 SMELLS LIKE A SWAN SONG

Now close to retirement, the first series R8 want to leave a mark and decides to do that with the most powerful and evil R8 ever produced: the Competition. Built in only 60 units, will be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show and will be available only in the US. The 5.2 V10 now delivers 570 horsepower and will have only the 7-speed S-Tronic gearbox. Cosmetic changes are inspired by the R8 LMS and are easily visible thanks to the contrast of carbon fiber with body color. Carbon-ceramic brakes, red brake calipers and new diffuser, are just a few of the details that jump out at first glance, of course, with the carbon rear spoiler. Too bad that European customers won’t have the chance to order one.
