Audi R8 V10 RWD: Pleasure To Drive
The rear-wheel drive version proposed by Audi in not too remote times makes it clear how much a multi-faceted sports car like the R8 could elevate itself as a real driving enjoyment tool. So we are finally ready to welcome the first Audi R8 V10 RWD ready to be produced without a production units limitation. Available in both Coupe and Spyder versions, the RWD will have the naturally aspirated 5.2 cc V10 we know well, ready to unload 540 hp on the two rear wheels (30hp less than the less powerful R8 QUATTRO), with a maximum torque of 540 Nm through a 7-speed automatic dual-clutch S-tronic gearbox, suitably equipped with a mechanical self-locking differential.
This translates into a 0-100 kph of just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 320 per hour (the Spyder accelerates in 0.1 seconds more and reaches 318 kph). The weight saved compared to the all-wheel drive version is 65 kg (55 kg for the Spyder), while the weight distribution remains optimal at 40:60, but what the R8 V10 RWD promises is a driving experience that not limits itself to acceleration and pure speed, but emphasizes the man/machine relationship thanks to the typical reactivity of a supercar with traction in the right place. Set aside at least € 144,000 for the Coupe, or € 157,000 for the Spyder.
