Audi RS3 | News
It could be the last time we see Audi’s legendary 5-cylinder. But we must not over-dramatize, because the new generation of RS3 knows how to attract the attention of driving nuts even without high-sounding claims. The hot-hatch war is getting tighter and tighter and the RS3 keeps the power of the 2.5 TFSI unchanged, with 400 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.
The innovations are mainly on a dynamic level, given that for the first time it will have RS Torque Splitter, an electronic system that distributes torque in a totally variable way between the rear wheels, offering greater responsiveness to the driver’s inputs and winking at those who love to widen the rear coming out of corners. The numbers speak for themselves: 0-100 kph in just 3.8 seconds and top speed that reaches 290 per hour, while from an aesthetic point of view the RS signature is evident in the more generous bodywork – available both for sedan or hatchback versions – and which leaves no room for doubts. The RS3 is the hot-hatch that gives hope that the era of these engines will never end.
