Audi TT RS 40 Years of Quattro | News
In 1980 Audi introduced what soon became one of its trademarks, if not precisely that ingredient that has always made its cars marked with four-wheel drive suitable for all conditions. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of this milestone, Audi has created a very special edition of the TT RS, aptly called 40 years of Quattro.
Aesthetically, it does not hide its roots imprinted in the world of rallying, in particular paying homage to the legendary Audi Sport Quattro and therefore we have an Alpine White body featuring decals with the typical red and black colors of the Sport division. There are also appendices that embellish the aerodynamic values and that suggest how special this model is like the 19″ 7-spoke light alloy wheels, while in the passenger compartment you can give up the rear seats and opt for a rollbar that will save 16 kg of weight and increase the torsional rigidity of the car.
Under the hood we find the 2.5-liter turbo 5-cylinder with 400 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque, for a 0-100 kph in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed limited to 250 per hour, of course – and there is no need to say this – with Quattro all-wheel drive. Only 40 units will be produced, but only for the German market, with prices starting at over 110,000 Euros.
