The countdown for the most important fair in Italy dedicated to historic cars and motorbikes has officially begun. Vintage cars and motorbikes comes back in Padua for the very last time, since from next year will move its pavilions to Bologna. An edition that treads its own importance in a constantly fermenting motoring scene and that despite the prolonged period of global crisis seems to act as a perfect catalyst for passion, almost as if it were a happy island enclosed in the gates of a dynamic exhibition area that at each edition is able to reinvent itself, still maintaining its own identity. Something we’re sure it will certainly be able to keep even after moving to Emilia Romagna.
The strong points of “AME Padova” are maintained, ie the large space dedicated to spare parts and memorabilia, with exhibitors coming from all over Europe. It is really impossible not to be able to find the piece that is still missing for your restoration, like coming across a gadget or toy car you have been looking for some time. After what we like to consider the antechamber of the fair, it is time for the main areas, with the official brands presenting their latest products that perfectly complement those models that have written history. We believe that one of the obligatory stops is then to be made at the club registers and exchange a few chats with great enthusiasts who always have some interesting anecdote to tell, not to mention the motorsport icons that following an ever-different theme and with the precious support of ASI and private collections, enrich the entire event with luster and prestige.
As always, numerous halls and almost all of the outdoor area are then reserved for retailers and private sellers with cars of all types, years and conditions. We range from exotic supercars to old cheap models, youngtimers, more recent sports cars and those practically unobtainable models, perhaps unique pieces, with which AME Padova always manages to amaze. The 2022 edition will finally be embellished by the Ferrari exhibition that celebrates a timeless myth in collaboration with the Modena’s Enzo Ferrari Museum, seizing the opportunity for a further celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Prancing Horse.
An unmissable appointment capable of putting everyone in agreement, even those who want to spend a day or a weekend for the love of cars, not necessarily coming back home having to justify to their wife the reason behind the purchase of the umpteenth Italian sports car.
