Blast From The Past
After the exceptional event in Fossano, the “Premio Castello degli Acaja”, this past weekend, my full immersion in the world of classic cars continued with two International events: the Verona Auto Show and the X Historic GP in MonteCarlo . Obviously, not yet enjoying the gift of ubiquity, I had to carefully choose the days to devote myself to the two appointments mentioned above, and so, I left early Friday towards the Verona Legend Cars, of which Auto Class has been once again official media partner, enjoying the day opening of the exhibition in full comfort, without too many people close to the cars exposed or bad weather. An excellent opportunity to say hello to a few friends and give a close look at some rare and beautiful cars with a few years on their shoulders, a quick lunch and a sumptuous Sicilian dessert and then on our way to Monaco for a thrilling weekend.
Real chills as those that the roar of Formula 1 from the 60s and 70s can give, spasmodic emotions and the ability to reach out and touch those cars that more than just racing cars, seemed and still seem (not fear comparison with those of today) real airplanes with wheels (huge wheels!). To find out more, do not miss our review about the Verona fair (on our website) and a comprehensive report on the historic Grand Prix (on the magazine, next month). Cars of yesteryear, other scale emotions.
