BMW 4-Series Coupe | News
It will only arrive in October, but the new 4 Series Coupe is already making headlines thanks to its design, to say the least risky. Everything is in fact apparently focused on the front with a huge double kidney grille whose dimensions have doubled compared to those we have seen with the latest models of the brand and which will be worn by all the versions available in the list. They’re about to launch 5 different engines, with the M440i xDrive as the flagship one capable of bringing together the sportiness and elegance of the new model, thanks to an in-line 6-cylinder with 374 horsepower. Next to it we will therefore have two 4-cylinder petrol engines, a diesel one – always 4 cylinders – and two more diesel units, this time with 6 cylinders.
All of them will feature the 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission as standard, while the intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive transmission will be available depending on the preferred model. There is also mild-hybrid technology that improves the performance side of the 6-cylinder petrol, which in this way will also be able to offer reduced fuel consumption and better emissions, while the sportier ones will be happy to find adaptive dampers, M Sport suspension on request and anti-roll bars for easier handling between corners. With prices that should start at around € 45,000, BMW chooses an extremely particular stylistic solution, undoubtedly capable of being enhanced with the richer optional packages. We will know more once we are able to see it in person, touch it and above all drive it.
