BMW M3 CS: The True Meaning of Super-Sedan
Pure performance at hand with the extreme M4 GTS first and with the M4 CS will no longer be exclusive to those who prefer two doors instead of four. In fact, BMW has just introduced the M3 CS, the most performance focused M3 since the times of the previous GTS. Driven by the same twin-turbo in-line 6-cylinder of the coupe counterpart, it delivers 460 horses and about 600Nm of torque, a good leap forward over the “standard” version.
It will only be available with the 7-speed automatic twin clutch transmission and guarantees a 0-100 of just 3.7 seconds. This is not just a matter of numbers, however, as the M3 CS maintains and in fact raises the involvement of the driver that is expected talking about a BMW coming out of the M division. Improvements also for its aesthetics, with a look that accentuates aggressiveness and with use of a carbon fiber engine bonnet to save a few pounds from the overall weight – the same speeches for the roof, front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser, all goodies borrowed from the M4 GTS. Finally – though it does not really end here – it will be offered directly with the Harmony Kardon Audio system and Competition Package included. The production will stop at 1,200 units and there are still no exact figures about the price tag. Now if you take the vocabulary, you’ll find it as the definition of Super Sedan.
