Brabus 800 | Tuning
When the starting point is represented by the maximum expression in terms of elegance, luxury and refinement, raising the bar further might seem like a daunting task, if not superfluous. But in this elite market segment there are always those who are constantly looking for something unique, even more special, or simply exaggerated. Proof of this is the new Brabus 800 based on the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4Matic, the super-SUV that sits on the top peak of the German brand’s list and its most luxury division.
The mastodon here is transformed by an aesthetic kit in perfect Brabus style, where the black of the body is made even sharper and more aerodynamic by interventions that, without distorting the overeall image, show the darker side of the GLS, contrasting with a passenger compartment that is literally submerged by soft orange leather. Numerous details in carbon fiber, as well as an incredible attention to the smallest detail (pedals, floor mats and even the locking mechanism of the doors). As for the performance side, as the name aptly suggests, Brabus brings out 800 horsepower and 950 Nm of torque from the 4-liter twin-turbo V8, a disarming power that allows this giant with 24-inch wheels to move as quickly as the laws of dynamics would not believe it possible.
