Brabus Crawler | News
It’s called Crawler and according to Brabus it’s the craziest and most expensive way to have fun over the sand dunes. Only 15 units will be produced, with a price of € 891.310. What is it then? The basis is that of a Mercedes G63, but just take a look at it and you’ll understand we are in front of something completely different and extreme from every point of view. The bodywork, for example, has been entirely made of carbon fiber and adapted to a special chassis. There are no doors or glasses, with a red leather interior, carbon fiber and three large digital screens literally at the mercy of external agents. It is advisable to use a helmet, not only due to the lack of the windshield, but because the Crawler is able to go very fast and can do so on any type of terrain.
With a ground clearance of 530 mm and special extreme off-road tires that fit the 20-inch Brabus Monoblock HD wheels, overcoming any obstacle is a child’s play, but imagine doing it at sidereal speeds like those guaranteed by the 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8 capable of delivering 900 horsepower. The maximum torque developed is 1,250 Nm, but is limited to 1,050, while the braking system is adequate for its power and size, with 400 mm front discs and 370 mm rear discs. Aesthetically we have widened fenders, LEDs on the roof, rear spoiler and side exhausts.
In short, everything that one would expect from a monster designed and built with the aim of surprising and amusing to the nth degree. Pure madness, but for most it will remain a forbidden dream.
