Brabus Rocket 900 | Tuning
It’s called Rocket 900 and it’s the latest crazy creation from tuner Brabus. Based on the 63 S variant of the four-door Mercedes-AMG GT, it distorts its exterior, interior and already exorbitant performance. Let’s see what this is all about. To begin with, the number 900 suggests that under the bonnet, the twin-turbo V8 has been raised to 900 horsepower and 1,250 Nm of torque, even increasing the cubic capacity of the engine itself from 4.0 cc to 4.5 cc.
We have forged pistons, a turbo pressure that works at 1.4 bar and an intake system with carbon fiber ducts. This translates into performance like 2.8 seconds for 0-100 kph, 0-200 kph in 9.7 and a top speed of 330 per hour, through a four-wheel drive updated system that uses a torque vectoring that guarantees the survival of each mechanical parts.
Brabus introduces profoundly revised aerodynamics as well, with a 78 mm wider body at the rear, a Pan-American grille and forged 21 and 22-inch wheels, not to mention the eye-catching but functional fixed rear spoiler. As for the passenger compartment, there are the traditional bits that the tuner usually adopts, with great attention not to distort the elegance of a cockpit that is still devoted to comfort, embellishing the seats and the dashboard with contrasting stitching. Only 10 units will be produced.
