Who are they and how do they act? I would call these people “disturbed” and I explain that. In a few words, they arrive with their car, but it’s not relevant which kind of car, although most often we’re dealing with ubiquitous and very modest models, but in their damaged mind, they have raised it by creating a myth, a point of arrival, the absolute gem, a work of art. I could play around with all sorts of adjectives, but they would never be enough to describe their ecstasy in front of their very metal love. And if, as often happens, they find their same models around, they would only be similar to their perfection, but never comparable. These individuals, that you can at least find one at each car meet you can possibly attend, are also a ‘bit disturbing; there’s the one that run at you sowing his documents, certificates, articles, photos and diagrams, many times even without any value or meaning and even if you try to slip away, at some point you will be forced to surrender, leaving him to talk freewheeling, trying in vain to look around in order to find someone on which diverting his attention and explanations. Do not dare to shift his attention elsewhere, not even the sight of a Bugatti Napoleon driven by Bonaparte in person, might distract him, simply because he only sees his car. It’s not about rarity, value, beauty or importance, but a matter of mental health.
