Chrysler Crossfire
BUDGET CARS
Designed by an Englishman, with German engineering, but it is American. If hybrid cars would mean cross-continent teamwork, the Crossfire would be an example, but its 3.2 V6 is anything but eco-sustainable. Produced from 2003 to 2008, crossing several small stylistic upgrades, the coupe in question is one of those two-seater that you can take home with a minimal expense. In fact, with just € 5,000, you will be able to put in your garage this sporty coupe with Mercedes mechanical. The SLK 320 has lent chassis, interior, engine, pretty much everything, while its body, especially in the coupe version, is squarer and made muscular by numerous ribs on the front hood and tailgate. The main problem here, is noticeable when driving it, as the big 6-cylinder engine only delivers 215 hp and offers performance worthy of a knackered hot-hatch. If it was a 1.6, the Crossfire would be a good alternative to other 10 different models, but maintaining such a shy 3.2, it’s just a question of love for its wedge shape.
