Classic Cars auction are over the top
RECORD NUMBERS FOR HISTORIC CARS AUCTIONED IN 2014
Certain sectors do not know the word “crisis” and indeed, it seems that year after year, auctions dedicated to historic vehicles see scoring more and more money. According to Hagerty, only in North America, 2014 saw about $1.4 billion. You read that right, BILLION and not measly million. Only at the Monterey Car Week last August, were spent approximately $ 430 million, representing almost a third of the total volume of the year, now ready to be completed. The 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, in fact, was sold for $38.115 million and like it other seven Ferrari are part of the more expensive historic cars top ten. Among the other “bargains”, are two Ford GT40 and a Lamborghini Countach, sold for over $ 700,000. For next year we expect to increase these numbers again, which means that even more wealthy collectors are ready to shell suitcases of millions, but it is difficult that the record of this year will be exceeded. We’ll see. In the meantime, you should begin to empty your piggy bank.
