This is no ordinary mountain pass and however this is not even a mountain pass as we intend, but rather a mountain road. Due to the fact that the road just brings you on top of the mountain in the very heart of National Gran Paradiso Park, but then you can’t reach any other destination. This makes this place a proper piece of Heaven where nature and animals are free to live in an uncontaminated place, remarkable also for being shut down to the main traffic during weekends, thus giving the opportunity to astronomy enthusiasts to have one of the very few spots without light pollution.

The road itself is astonishing, thanks to the rocky conformation of the mountains all around and the presence of several lakes giving the place a unique look, to be really appreciated from the top, overlooking the hairpin bends running around blue mirrors of water reflecting the sky above. Here you’ll end with thousands of pictures and for what probably is the first time in which you’ll choose to park the car and have a hike in one of Italy and Europe’s most eco-friendly corner.
