Dakar 2022: Desert Heroes
Each year begins with without the slightest possibility of being questioned is the most difficult motoring event of them all: the Dakar Rally. The 2022 edition, which took place from 1st to 14th January in Saudi Arabia, was no different and with 8,375 km covered – of which 4,258 of special stages – it showed how it still represents an appointment that manages to elevate the emotional factor of a race that unites the various categories represented, putting the drivers and their teams to the test in an endless competition ground made hostile by the perils of the desert and by practically non-existent points of reference.
Not just racing drivers, but real adventurers thus find themselves for two weeks facing a physical and psychological endurance race that takes their vehicles to the limit as well as the determination that only with the maximum possible effort allows to cross the finish line of the last stage. Here are the winners of the 2022 edition in their respective categories:
