Dunlop Sport Maxx GT: Racing-Inspired Rubber
Tires play a fundamental role and should never be underestimated. Together with our friends at Euroimport Pneumatici we have chosen 6 different proposals that will allow you to better understand what tyre is best for you and your car. Here is the fourth episode of the special series.
You name Dunlop, you mean quality; there is no doubt about this. But talking specifically about the Sport Maxx GT tyres, you cannot think of anything other than their ability to adapt to any type of road surface, whether dry or wet. Moreover, thanks to their special double compound result of an impressive experience in the racing world, they are able to combine comfort with high grip easily obtainable even in stressful situations.
The German tuner ABT chose Dunlop and the Sport Maxx GT rubber to equip the 50 units of the new RS4-R, the anabolic version of the already blistering fast Audi RS4 Avant. With an incredibly stiffer set-up compared to that of the original car, ABT has shown that it favors sudden changes in direction and a more violent driving style, without being uncomfortable in the city. We were lucky enough to test the RS4-R on dry and wet roads and even on a strip of Autobahn, the German motorway sections without speed limits. The emotions felt for the incredible performance have been made possible primarily for the confidence that the tuned model has been able to offer, thanks to a carbon ceramic braking system and of course the set of Dunlop chosen by ABT to best enhance this model produced in a limited series.
