Everyone Has To Fall In Love With The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Concept
The combination of Aston Martin and Zagato has deep roots that go back in 1960 when the DB4 GT was presented , and from there, several models have followed, more or less gatherers of consensus, given the strong characterization that the Italian brand has always made to the cars on which they’ve put their unique touch. The Zagato pencil signed the stunning V12 of a few years ago and at this year’s Concours d’Elegance at Villa d’Este has decided that the time had come to steal the show again and has thus introduced the Vanquish Zagato concept, obviously based on the same Vanquish model, recently unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.
This is a one-off created in close collaboration with the guys at Aston Martin, where no detail has been left to chance and where the result is deeply surprising and leaves you open mouth as if we were in front of the aurora borealis, but in the middle of Piccadilly Circus. It is simply beautiful, majestic, recognized by the whole series of classic styling cues that make easily identifiable Zagato’s signature, as the double bubble roof, or the “Z” pattern of the front grille, here even more aggressive. The back then, that side B that has divided fans and experts at the presentation in Geneva, has been revised in harmony with a new headlight group and a line going to marry perfectly with the red color chosen for this unique specimen. The engine has been refined too, with an injection of 27 hp to the already generous 5.9cc, which is now capable of delivering 600hp.
