Evija, The 2,000-HP Electric Lotus
From now on, Lotus will no longer just be synonymous with lightness and driving purity. In fact, the Evija marks a very important turning point, representing the first all-electric supercar born in Hethel (and under the wing of the Chinese owners at Geely). Powered by four Xtrac electric motors, each supplying power on every wheel, the Evija maintains a reduced weight, especially in comparison to the standards of electric cars and stops the scale at 1,680 kg. Lithium-ion battery pack and ultra-rapid 350 kW charging of only 18 minutes to reach 100% and for being ready to unleash proper hypercar’s performance, like a 0-100 kph in less than 3 seconds , a 0-300 kph under 9 seconds and a top speed over 320 per hour.
Range declared by the Company is around 400 kilometers, while the passenger compartment will be extremely futuristic, with a small quadrangular steering wheel that incorporates various controls, including indicators and a sort of manettino to select the various driving modes. The first deliveries will start in 2020 and only 130 units will be produced, each with prices that will be between € 1.5 million and € 2 million.
