Ferrari 296 GTS | News
It arrives in time for the summer season, it is the Ferrari 296 GTS and is the Spider counterpart of the 296 GTB introduced not so long ago. It logically maintains the same characteristics, starting from the avant-garde design resulting from an accurate development of the Centro Stile Ferrari led by Flavio Manzoni and which manages to make the soft lines of the car perfectly capable of cutting the air at high speeds, with surprising values, especially considering that there are no aerodynamic appendages that distort the purity of the forms.
To push the 296 GTS we find the same powertrain of the coupe variant, the powerful 2.9-liter V6 twin-turbo hybrid, capable of delivering a total power of 830 hp, hidden by a glass panel covering the engine compartment itself. With roof open, the driving experience is elevated to top levels and while maintaining onboard comfort intact, thanks also to the adjustable rear glass, the symphony of the engine placed immediately behind the back is a sensation that justifies the choice of the Spider variant for those who wish to increase the driver/car relationship.
The configuration possibilities for your ideal GTS are endless, especially in dynamic terms, with the Aero package offering – among other things – an active rear spoiler, splitter and specific brake calipers. The 296 GTS also features ABS EVO, a special system that activates in Race mode and optimally manages brakes behavior. Performance-focused enthusiasts will then opt for the Assetto Fiorano version, which further increases performance and aerodynamics. Test drive coming soon.
