Ferrari Purosangue | News
Some thought it would never happen, others trembled along an almost endless wait. The first SUV born in Maranello is here and is called Purosangue (Italian word for “purebred”). 4.9 meters long, 2 meters wide and just 1.5 meters high, it is the result of an obsessive research that led the prancing horse to give birth to a model so unusual for its own standards, only when it could fully embody the Ferrari philosophy according to which performance, comfort and drivability are three essential and indivisible key points.
Under the curves modeled in the wind tunnel and indebted to the brand’s current stylistic features, the Purosangue houses a 6.5-liter V12 capable of unleashing 725 horsepower at 7,750 rpm and 716 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm. The red line is set at 8,250 rpm and it is therefore easy to imagine the portentous roar that this SUV will bring along when overtaking your Urus. Performance figures of 3.3 seconds for the 0-100 kph, 10.6 seconds to reach 200 kph and top speed of over 310 per hour, with impressive braking values like just 129 meters to pass from 200 per hour to standstill. All this by upsetting the laws of physics and moving its 2 tons (2,033 kg dry) as if it were a much smaller grand tourer. Obviously all-wheel drive with a strong preference for the rear axle, an 8-speed dual-clutch F1 gearbox and an interior with 4 seats that exudes luxury and latest generation technology. Prices starting at around € 390,000.
