Let’s face it, we weren’t expecting this. Still it’s an extremely pleasant surprise, especially in view of the summer season, because the prancing horse grand tourer becomes “open” and does that with style, with a soft top, an unusual solution by now and which accentuates how much this particular model is devoted to the purest driving pleasure. The impressive performance of the coupe version remains, with a 3.9-liter V8 grounding 620 horsepower. The Spider variant adds 84 kg to the scales, a modest value that does not penalize the handling of the 2+ from Maranello.

Ecstatically, the Roma Spider maintains the unmistakable style introduced with the coupe, with soft and sinuous lines that run along the entire side and are enhanced by a wedge-shaped front and tail, losing just 17 liters of load capacity in the trunk. The passenger compartment is unchanged with the beautiful dashboard introduced by its rigid roof sister, while as far as pure performance – as mentioned – thanks to the unchanged power and 760 Nm torque, we’re talking about 3.4 seconds for the 0-100 kph and 320 of top speed. Prices not yet confirmed, but which will be a few thousand euro higher than the coupe, which requires a check of at least €209,000.
