Ferrari SF90 XX | News
It is the beginning of a new era, at least for a few wealthy enthusiasts. The SF90 XX Stradale and Spider are in fact the first XX projects also intended for on road use. As you know, the XX Program is the special department that Ferrari dedicates to the development of track-only models intended especially for those customers looking to experience the thrill of racing in close contact with the Team that Maranello put at their disposal. Over the years we have for example seen the 599XX, the FXX and the FXX K, just to refresh your memory. Now the music changes, for the better.

Yes, because if they are clearly devoted to use on the track, both for the incredible power delivered by the hybrid engine – 1,030 hp via a 4.0 V8 combined with electric motors – and for an aerodynamic package that at least partially distorts the sinuous lines of the SF90 starting point, from this moment it is finally possible to reach the racetrack at the wheel, making the way back home after the session of timed laps just as exciting and adrenaline-pumping. The Stradale, a fixed-roof coupe, will be produced in 799 units, at a price of €770,000, while the Spider will be even more exclusive, with a limited production run of just 599 units, at €850,000. It goes without saying that the chances of securing one are dwindling with each passing hour.

Lower, with aerodynamics that accentuate ground effect, more powerful carbon-ceramic brakes and some ten kilos less in weight – about 1 and a half tonne, with the Spider weighing a little more, the premises for a new generation of hypercars are here, demonstrating that the spasmodic race for the highest maximum power isn’t everything, when what is able to consecrate a car as the ultimate weapon is the ability to make usable on open roads something that up to a few days ago it was thought to be for curbs only.
