Giamaro Katla | News
It is the latest Italian hypercar and promises to redefine the boundaries of automotive performance. Presented by Giamaro Automobili, a young brand born in the Modena Motor Valley, the Katla takes its name from an Icelandic volcano, a symbol of power and unpredictability.

The beating heart of the Katla is a 7-liter quad-turbo V12 engine, entirely developed in-house. In extreme driving mode, this power unit is capable of delivering over 2,100 horsepower—an output bench-tested that places it among the most powerful cars ever built. The design was conceived around its imposing engine. The body features proportions that stretch toward the rear, with a drag coefficient of just 0.33. The active aerodynamic system includes a movable rear wing that adapts in real time to speed, lines and lateral forces, transforming into an air brake during deceleration to enhance control. The front air intakes, inspired by aircraft afterburners, aid in cooling and airflow management.

The interior of the Katla, though still in its prototype phase, is designed for high-speed driving. The seat position is intentionally very low and set far back, wrapped by an aeronautically inspired dashboard. The tall, linear central console houses the main controls, arranged symmetrically and intuitively. Among the materials used we have carbon fiber, brushed aluminum, technical fabrics, and natural leather.

With the Katla, Giamaro Automobili positions itself as a new player in the hypercar landscape. The brand has chosen to develop every component in-house—from the engine to the design—demonstrating full commitment to creating an exclusive and highly performing product. Needless to say, expectations for the driving experience are sky-high.
