Is The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Driving Lovers’ Best SUV?
Baptizing a car with the name of one of the most exciting roads in the world is a risky choice – let alone if the car in question is an SUV! But we are accustomed to Alfa Romeo and its choices that judging by the latest results, can boast a number of excellent cars in its lineup. We madly fell in love with the 4C, and we look forward to deepen our knowledge with the Giulia QV that they distract us with the Stelvio (yep, the iconic mountain pass).
Just like every self-respecting marketing logic, it will be produced with different engines, with a strong leverage on the diesel ones, but the one that makes us jump out of the chair is the Quadrifoglio Verde – in a few words an XL version of the same Giulia, with which shares most of the design, the interior and especially the 505hp twin-turbo V8. The preview promises good things also thanks to a fast automatic transmission able to manage all the available torque, the DNA selector from which to choose the preferred driving mode and a torque vectoring on the rear axle that contributes to improve performance and effectiveness the very moment you’ll want to turn every road in an obstacle run. Over the past 30 years, this is definitely the best moment for being “Alfisti”!
