Italy knows how to make beautiful cars and Mole 001 is one of them
The world premiere of Mole Costruzione Artigianale 001 has been a success: the car was among the most popular proposals shown at the event in Parco Valentino in Turin last week end.
The recipe, apparently simple, is to combine sportiness and elegance, which as Umberto Palermo, founder of UP Design, explains, can just get dressed in the form of tribute to the city of Turin: “We Italians have a dowry: we are able to draw gorgeously beautiful cars and the best in history have been drawn here.”
But what does it take for a product to be “Italian”?
In the case of Mole Costruzione Artigianale 001 and many other classic gt, we have to analyze the details: in general a Italian sports car combines clean lines with sleek and sensual surfaces; “typical” elements are the winding wheel arches overlooking the front hood and the muscular shape of the rear end. The ability that the world envies us is concentrated in the balance of these elements and in the shape that comes as a result.
“Innovating while respecting tradition” is the leitmotif of UP Design, and Mole Costruzione Artigianale fully embodies this idea.
Designed by the style center of UP Design in Moncalieri (Turin) and produced in the Officine Umberto Palermo in Rivoli (Turin) is realized by experienced coach builders, another excellence that Italy can claim. It will be built in a small series that involves a totally handmade body construction (in fiberglass and carbon), while the choice of the engine will be at the discretion of the customer.
The production will amount to 9 pieces, but Mole has already conquered the hearts of car enthusiasts: the first unit, in fact, has already been booked.
