Jaguar Lightweight E-Type
TIME HAS COME TO END THAT WORK LEFT UNFINISHED IN 1963
1963: In a galaxy not too far away, Jaguar plans the production of 18 units of its Lightweight E-Type. Car that does not need so many presentations. Only 12 were produced and the work remains unfinished. After 51 years, it’s time to give the world those long-awaited 6 specimens. By implementing just enough touch of technological progress gained with the passage of half a century, we find a 6 cylinder in-line 3.8cc that will deliver 300 horsepower. Three Weber carburetors, 4-speed manual gearbox and single-plate clutch. 15’’ rims will host the front disc brakes, while rear brakes are the original ones. These are the highlights. The first one…or the thirteenth, will be presented at Pebble Beach. For the other 5 get in line.
