Lamborghini Huracan Performante: Record or Not, It’s Crazy Fast!
Do not be fooled by the title, we do not want to refer to the controversy just arose around the ‘ring record – we don’t care, we want to celebrate a mechanical engineering success, a car with extraordinary abilities and that shuffles the cards on Lamborghini’s table. Do not call it baby Lambo, not anymore! The Huracan Performante leaves the camouflage which has had to wear up to its official launch and showcases all the muscles and new details that make it a genuine supercar. Less weight and more power, with the V10 reaching now 640 horsepower and the all-wheel drive that allows you to ground a good 70% of its 600Nm of torque at just 1,000 rpm.
Upgrades are not only mechanically, where however there is also a new exhaust system with titanium valves, upgraded management of the 7-speed dual clutch transmission and active aerodynamics (called ALA) that within 500 milliseconds can handle flaps that facilitate balancing and the cornering speed. Even the aesthetics has been reworked, in order to emphasize how much Lamborghini believe in this model, expected since we put our hands on the outstanding Huracan the first time. There is a huge rear spoiler, side skirts and a front spoiler to give it an even more aggressive look, a dual exhaust in the middle of the tail and four vents on the engine compartment – of which two continuously open – useful to give breath to the heart of this new and very angry Performante hunting for lap records.
