Lotus Elise S Cup
TRACK DAY’S QUEEN HAS COME BACK
She’s back again and there are no reasons for looking anywhere. No more. Lotus represents the most intimate and pure feeling that you can share with the road, especially when it has curbs. It does not matter if there are crazy beasts with no roof, open wheeled, more powerful and efficient, because in the end, the one in which you will want to be seated, to continue driving up home and in decent comfort, will always be a Lotus. The newcomer is the Elise S Cup, or a racing car with two gadgets: the front plate and the rear one. More aggressive, more rigid, more acid green, the S Cup has a removable hard top, a T45 tubular structure, which increases the rigidity of the frame and cornering. The 1.8 delivers 217 horsepower and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. On sale at the modest sum of € 56,000, it costs less than any alternative known to man. You just get used to the contortions you’ll have to deal with getting in and out, and you’re done.
