Maserati GranTurismo | News
Many feared that it would not happen and instead the GranTurismo will see a second generation. There are many and profound innovations, starting with a design that remains faithful to its iconic parent, still able to savor a completely new look, made up of soft and reminiscent lines of the other models currently in the list. And then there is the variety in terms of engines, with 3 different configurations: Folgore, completely electric and capable of delivering 830 horsepower and 1,350 Nm of torque during Max Boost phase, or the new petrol units that make use of two variants of the new V6 Nettuno – yes, no more V8 then – respectively with 490 hp for the Modena spec and 550 hp for the most performing Trofeo.
The V6 will be exclusively combined with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive with front differential in line with the engine, with the aim of keeping the engine as low as possible. The 3.0 biturbo will allow the Trofeo to reach 320 per hour and shoot from 0 to 100 in just 3.5 seconds and from 0 to 200 in 11.4 seconds. Thanks Maserati, we weren’t ready to give up the ultimate GT yet.
