McLaren 570S Spider: No Compromise on Performance
When it comes to McLaren, there’s only one word to describe it: excellence. Excellence in all of its form, from a design point of view, with an increase of only 46kg, despite the retractable roof consisting of two parts and borrowed from its 650S and 675LT cousins, both in terms of performance, thanks for the fact of needing only 3.2 second to go from 0 to 100 and eventually reaching a top speed of 328 per hour – this time seriously endangering your hairstyle.
The 570S Spider will be shown to the public at the Goodwood Festival of Speed shortly, but the guys in Woking wanted to shake the wait by releasing some succulent images and some data that can only make us want to sell our houses and face the big decision. Keeping the style of the coupe version unchanged, the 570S Spider is obviously equipped with the powerful twin-turbo V8 and its 570hp and 600Nm that power the rear axle with the fast 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. We have, just recently, once again realized how much the most performing “baby McLaren” has nothing else to prove and how it can offer stunning figures at a demanding but more affordable price than you might think. The Spider promises to further enhance driving pleasure, making the English supercar even more ideal for panoramic routes voted to automotive nirvana – all aware that once you go full throttle, the chassis reactivity and the elasticity of the engine will always be ready to suddenly wake the passenger at your side. Three new colors are added to the available options, reaching 20 overall paints, with prices starting at around €214,450.
