McLaren 570S
BABY IS HERE
Just in time for the New York Auto Show (3-12 April 2015), McLaren reveals their new supercar that will represent the “entry level” model of the Brand. The new born is called 570S, an acronym that as tradition is inspired by the number of horses provided by the classic V8 twin turbo 3.8 engine which already equips the bigger sisters, but here, changed of about 30% of its components. Thruster aside, the new 570S receives also all the technical features already present on other McLaren: a structure made of carbon fiber that allows at the same time to have rigidity and lightweight (1,313 kg), an extremely nice and developed aerodynamic profile that focuses on the best aerodynamic drag and downforce possible, and some innovative solutions for the Company of Woking, such as the suspended rear pillar and the curved rear-end for a better air channeling at high speeds, solution already seen in the past on the Ferrari 599. As for the suspensions, the 570S adopts a system designed specifically for this model and developed to achieve maximum performance on both road and track. Just in a more sporty use, the new 570S, as stated in the official presentation, “it will mark a turning point for the Brand: it is the first time that McLaren offers its pioneering technology developed on the motorsport experience, in the sports car segment. ” Then, we already know what the new born is capable of: 0-100 kph in 3.2 seconds, 0-200 kph in 9.5 seconds and a top speed of 328 kph.
