McLaren 600LT Spider: Thou Shalt Not Covet Other Cars
We knew it would have come, completing the limited production based on the new 600 Long Tail coupe, but we are never ready for the effect that a new McLaren can have on our desires. Here is the brand new 600LT Spider, the folding roof version of the track-focused Long Tail, already known to many for the ability to spit flames from the exhaust and devour a racing track at breakfast and a curvy road at lunch.
In terms of numbers, the Spider version is equipped with the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, 600 horsepower and 620Nm of the fixed-roof version, while the main difference is obviously represented by the weight, which however increases by only 50kg thanks to the exceptional ability of the Monocell II carbon monocoque, which allowed not intervening with further structural reinforcements. Even the Spider goes from 0 to 100 kph in 2.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 324 per hour (315 kph with the wind in your hair), while you have the ability to stop the scale at 1.297kg , opting for the MSO Clubsport package (€ 23,500). Driving topless emphasizes the intimate relationship that is established with the road below you, without affecting the overall design, since the mechanism automatically fold up just above the engine compartment, without distorting the flowing line of the 600LT. Prices starting from € 265,500.
