When You Say “Race Car For The Road”, You Say 620R
Ready to be produced in a limited series, it is going to be the most powerful variant of the Sport Series range and recalls that before anything else McLaren rhymes with racing. The 620R is basically a 570S GT4 coming out of Woking with 620 horses and aerodynamic bits borrowed from that world made of curbs and zero speed limits. There is no air conditioner or even sat-navigation, but neither mats, storages or audio system (available, however, on request and with no additional cost), everything is focused on weight saving and in order to search for that tenth of a second less ‘round the track, a driving philosophy that in this case can also be embraced on everyday roads. The huge rear spoiler leaves no room for doubt, right?
To confirm that the 620R breaths motorsport full lung we also have the possibility of alternating road tires (semi slick) with full-slick racing tires, especially developed by Pirelli. The 3.8-turbo twin-turbo V8 grounds its 620 Nm on the rear wheels thanks to a 7-speed automatic transmission, with a 0-100 kph of just 2.9 seconds, a 0-200 kph in 8.1 seconds and a maximum speed of 320 per hour. Carbon ceramic braking system and three standard liveries that reproduce as many iconic color schemes dear to McLaren: McLaren Orange, Silica White and Onyx Black, with the obvious possibilities of creating your own 620R thanks to the MSO team. Only 350 units will be produced, with starting prices at around € 307,500 and first deliveries in February.
