McLaren 675 LT
POWER, A BEAUTIFUL THING
McLaren continues the heritage of their famous “long-tail” and gives us a wonder called 675LT. The latest model from Woking, based on the already amazing 650S, differs in details that even a less attentive eye can easily recognize, while those details that really make the difference, are concealed behind a great job by the English engineers. The 675 looks similar in size, but as its name imposes, has a more pronounced back-end, different air intakes and aerodynamics designed specifically to enhance its performance, once you’re between the curbs. Plenty of carbon fiber, but also a lot of horses: the 3.8 twin-turbo V8 keeps its size, but it is renewed by about 50%, now offering 666 horses at 7100 rpm and a maximum torque of 700Nm, already available at 5,500 rpm. Gearbox is a 7-speed SSG automatic dual-clutch, while traction is obviously divided on the rear axle only. There is plenty to say about its style, but we rather focus on performance, as the 675LT will be able to burn the 0-100 kph in just 2.9 seconds, and then to reach 200 kph after just 5 more seconds (7.9 for the 0-200 kph). Maximum speed of 330 kph for one of the most sensational supercar ever. The endless battle, McLaren vs Ferrari, seems that will continue incessantly. 488 GTB, you’re warned.
